Gerät nach Anspruch 1, welches weiter aufweist: einen optischen Kopf(53), der eine Lichtabstrahleinrichtung (32) zum Abstrahlen des Lichtstrahls aufweist, welcher durch eine zugehörige von den Objektivlinsen (46) auf die Informationsschicht von einer der optischen Platten (1) konvergiert wird; wobei der optische Kopf(53) weiter aufweist: Photodetektoreinrichtungen (38) zum Erfassen des von der optischen Platte reflektierten Lichts; eine Lichtwellenfront-Umwandlungseinrichtung (54): eine Halteeinrichtung (55) zum Halten der Lichtwellenfront-Umwandlungseinrichtung im Lichtweg zwischen der Lichtabstrahleinrichtung (32) und der optischen Platte (1); eine Optikkopf-Bewegungseinrichtung (4), die unterhalb der optischen Platte (1) angeordnet ist und vorgesehen ist, um den optischen Kopf in radialer Richtung bezüglich der optischen Platte (1) zu bewegen; wobei die N Konvergiereinrichtungen N optische Systeme sind, von denen jedes mindestens eine der Objektivlinsen (46) und die Lichtwellenfront-Umwandlungseinrichtung (54) aufweist; wobei die Steuereinrichtung (22) vorgesehen ist, um das optische System auszuwählen, bei welchem die Aberration aufgrund des transparenten Trägers kleiner oder am kleinsten ist; und wobei der optische Kopfvorgesehen ist, um das Informationssignal auf die optische Platte (1), oder von der optischen Platte (1), mittels des Lichtstrahls vom gewählen System aufzuzeichnen, wiederzugeben oder zu löschen.

Apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising: an optical head (53) comprising light-emitting means (32), for emitting the light beam which is converged by an associated one of said objective lenses (46) on to the information layer of a said optical disc (1); said optical head (53) further comprising: photo-detecting means (38) for detecting the reflected light from the optical disc (1); optical wavefront transforming means (54); holding means (55) for holding said optical wavefront transforming means in the optical path between the light-emitting means (32) and the optical disc (1) ; an optical head moving means (4) positioned below the optical disc (1) and arranged to move the optical head (53) in a radial direction in relation to the optical disc (1); wherein said N converging means are N optical systems each of which comprises at least one of said objective lenses (46) and said optical wavefront transforming means (54); wherein said control means (22) is arranged to select the optical system in which the aberration due to the transparent substrate is smaller or smallest; and wherein the optical head is arranged to record, reproduce or erase the information signal on to or from the optical disc (1) by the light beam of the selected system.
