Bei den Altanlagen haben wir ein Pneumatisch System zur Anhebung der Stuppelwalzen.

In the old systems we have a pneumatic system for raising the Stuppelwalzen.

Wenn das nicht so wäre, hätte diese Richtlinie keinen Sinn, weil diese Anlagen eine sehr lange Lebensdauer haben. Würden wir die Richtlinie nicht auf die Altanlagen erweitern, so hätte das überhaupt keine Auswirkungen auf die Luftemissionen.

Without this, this directive would be fairly hollow, as these plants have a long lifespan, and if we did not extend the directive to include old plants, the effects on emissions into the air would be nil.

Deswegen ist es für die Kommission wichtig, sich einen Überblick darüber zu verschaffen, welche neuen Investitionsvorhaben geplant sind bzw. sich im Bau befinden oder welche Altanlagen dauerhaft außer Betrieb gesetzt werden sollen.

It is therefore important for the Commission to get an overview of what new investment projects are planned or are under construction and which old installations are to be permanently taken out of service.
