Blattzählvorrichtung mit einem Satz drehbar gelagerter Saugspindeln (2 - 6), die so gelagert sind, dass sie sich an einem Stapel zu zählender Blätter vorbei bewegen können, mit einem an den Spindeln angeschlossenen Unterdruckzuführmittel (19), so dass, wenn eine Saugspindel den Stapel passiert, der Spindel ein Unterdruck zugeführt und das oberste Blatt aus seiner Anfangslage ausgelenkt wird; und mit einem Überwachungsmittel (22, 23) zur Überwachung der Anzahl ausgelenkter Blätter, wobei das Überwachungsmittel die Höhe des Unterdrucks in der den Stapel passierenden Saugspindel überwacht und das Vorhandensein eines einen vorbestimmten Schwellwert überschreitenden Unterdrucks anzeigt, dass gerade ein Blatt ausgelenkt wird, wobei das Überwachungsmittel daraufhin einen Zählwert erhöht und den Schwellwert während eines Zählvorgangs durch regelmäßiges Neueinstellen des Schwellwerts auf einen voreingestellten Bruchteil eines laufend ermittelten Mittelwertes einer vorbestimmten Anzahl vorheriger Unterdruckwerte, die als Anzeichen für das Auslenken eines Blattes festgestellt wurden, anpasst.

Sheet counting apparatus comprising a set of rotatably mounted suction spindles (2-6) mounted for movement past a stack of sheets to be counted, vacuum supply means (19) connected to the spindles whereby as a suction spindle passes the stack, a vacuum is supplied to the spindle so that the topmost sheet is deflected from its initial position; and monitoring means (22,23) for monitoring the number of deflected sheets, in which the monitoring means monitors the degree of vacuum within the suction spindle passing the stack, whereby the presence of a vacuum exceeding a predetermined threshold indicates that a sheet is being deflected, the monitoring means thereupon incrementing a count, and wherein the monitoring means adapts the threshold during a count process by regularly resetting the threshold at a preset proportion of a rolling average of a predetermined number of previous vacuum levels detected as indicating the deflection of a sheet.

Blattzählvorrichtung mit einer Gruppe drehbar gelagerter Saugspindeln (2-6), die an einem Stapel (26) zu zählender Blätter vorbeibewegbar gelagert sind, einem an die Spindeln angeschlossenen Unterdruckzuführmittel (19), so daß, wenn eine Saugspindel den Stapel passiert, der Spindel ein Unterdruck zugeführt wird, so daß das oberste Blatt aus seiner Anfangslage ausgelenkt wird; und mit einem Überwachungsmittel (22, 23) zum Überwachen der Anzahl ausgelenkter Blätter, wobei das Überwachungsmittel die Höhe des Unterdrucks in der den Stapel passierenden Saugspindel überwacht, den Zählwert jedesmal erhöht, wenn der überwachte Unterdruck einen vorbestimmten Schwellwert unterschreitet, und den Zählvorgang beendet, wenn eine vorbestimmte Zeitspanne überschritten wird, ohne daß der Unterdruck den vorbestimmten Schwellwert überschreitet, dadurch gekennzeichnet , daß die vorbestimmte Zeitspanne dem Vorbeilauf wenigstens zweier Spindeln am Blattstapel, ohne daß ein Blatt ausgelenkt wird, entspricht.
