Während Klenze Schelling in diesem Punkt als Anstoß zur Formulierung einer eigenständigen Position aufgreift, dient er ihm in der Begründung der griechischen Architektur als einzig mögliche Form der Architektur des christlichen Kultus als Gewährsmann.
