Bis zu Beginn meiner Elternzeit war ich zwei Jahre lang persönliche Assistentin des Direktors und Referentin für Personal und Finanzen beim Centre for European Studies in Brüssel. Das Centre for European Studies ist die politische Stiftung der Europäischen Volkspartei. Als persönliche Assistentin des Direktors habe ich mich mit allen personellen und finanziellen Angelegenheiten der Stiftung, wie beispielsweise der Haushalts- und Budgetplanung, der Beantragung des jährlichen Budgets beim Europäischen Parlament, dem Sponsoring und Finanzierung von Veranstaltungen beschäftigt. Außerdem war ich für die inhaltliche und organisatorische Vorbereitung der Vorstandssitzungen, Mitgliederversammlungen und Sitzungen des Akademischen Rats verantwortlich. In diesen Arbeitsbereich fiel das Verfassen von Arbeitspapieren als Entscheidungs- und Argumentationshilfe für den Direktor der politischen Stiftung.
