Das Bohrsche Atommodell besteht in einem Proton, das von Elektronen umkreist wird. Es erinnert an die schematische Darstellung des Sonnensystems, und diese war ja in der Tat eine seiner metaphorischen Quellen. Bohrs Theorie bestand in der Behauptung, daß alle Atome Ähnlichkeit mit seinem Modell haben müßten.

The Bohr model of the atom is that of a proton surrounded by orbiting electrons. It is something like the pattern of the solar system, and that is indeed one of its metaphoric sources. Bohr's theory was that all atoms were similar to his model.

Das Bohrsche Atommodell, von dem wir wegen seiner Anschaulichkeit ausgehen, weist dabei dem Elektron und Proton einen minimal möglichen Abstand zu, der nicht unterschritten werden kann.
