Fuer jede Probeflaeche sind die bodenkundlichen Merkmale aufzunehmen . Es wird empfohlen , die Profilbeschreibung in der Pufferzone gemaess dem FAO-Leitfaden ( FAO-Guidelines for Soil Description , 3. ueberarbeitete Auflage , Rom 1990 ) zu erstellen . Die Profilbeschreibung ( en ) sollte ( n ) unbedingt an einer fuer die Probeflaeche repraesentativen Stelle vorgenommen werden . Es empfiehlt sich , zur Berechnung des Gesamtnaehrstoffgehalts die trockene Bodendichte am ungestoerten Profil zu bestimmen . Wird die trockene Bodendichte nicht bestimmt , so ist sie angemessen zu schaetzen . Die Bestimmung der Korngroessenverteilung im Boden ist obligatorisch . Die Kornklassen sind wie folgt eingeteilt : _GT_ 2 mm , 2-63 mm , 63-2 000 mm ( FAO ) . Werden Schluff- und Sandbestandteile aufgrund einer Korngroesse von 50 mm unterschieden , so ist auf 63 mm zu interpolieren .

A pedological characterization shall be made for each sample plot . It is advised to make the profile description according to the FAO-guidelines ( FAO guidelines for soil description , third edition ( revised ) , Rome 1990 ) in the buffer zone . Care should be taken that the profile description ( s ) is / are made on a location which is representative for the actual sampling area . It is recommended that the dry bulk density is determined from undisturbed soil to enable the calculation of the total nutrient contents . If the dry bulk density is not determined , a reasonable estimate of this parameter should be made . The determination of the soil granulometry is mandatory . The particle size fractions are : _LT_ 2 mm , 2-63 mm , 63-2000 mm ( FAO ) . If 50 mm is used to separate silt and sand fractions , conversion to 63 mm limit has to be done .

Wird die trockene Bodendichte nicht bestimmt, so ist sie angemessen zu schätzen.

Im Testbericht ist festzuhalten, ob die Wasserrückhalteeigenschaft und die Bodendichte von Böden bei ungestörten Feldproben oder gestörten (bearbeiteten) Proben ermittelt wurden.

It should be reported in the test report whether water retention characteristics and bulk density of soils were determined in undisturbed field samples or in disturbed (processed) samples.
