Für die oleophile Phase einer Emulsion bzw. Invertemulsion zur Verwendung als Bohrspülung werden an deren Viskosität und Stockpunkt ganz bestimmte Anforderungen gestellt.

Quite specific requirements are imposed on the viscosity and setting point of the oleophilic phase of an emulsion or inverted emulsion for use as drilling mud.

Verfahren zum Bohren, umfassend (a)Verwenden einer Invertemulsions-Bohrspülung bei der Bohrung, Fertigbearbeitung oder Überarbeitung eines Bohrlochs, wobei die Spülung mit einer Öllagerstätte in Kontakt kommt, wobei die Invertemulsions-Bohrspülung (A) eine ölartige Flüssigkeit; (B) eine nicht-ölartige Flüssigkeit; und (C) ein protoniertes Amin mit der Struktur R-N -H B umfasst, wobei R eine C -C - Alkylgruppe oder eine C -C Alkenylgruppe ist und B die konjugierte Base einer wasserlöslichen Säure ist, wobei das protonierte Amin in einer derartigen Konzentration vorliegt, dass sich eine Invertemulsion ausbildet, und (b) Injizieren einer funktionell zur Deprotonierung des protonierten grenzflächenaktiven Amin-Mittels befähigten Base in das Bohrloch, um auf diese Weise die Invertemulsion reversibel zu brechen.

A method for drilling comprising (a) using an invert emulsion drilling fluid in the drilling, completion or work-over of a well, wherein said fluid comes into contact with a producing formation, said invert emulsion drilling fluid comprising (A) an oleaginous liquid; (B) a non-oleaginous liquid; and (C) a protonated amine having the structure R-N -H B wherein R is a C -C alkyl group or a C -C alkenyl group, and B is the conjugate base of a water soluble acid, said protonated amine being in a concentration such that an invert emulsion forms, and (b) injecting a base functionally able to deprotonate the protonated amine surfactant into the well so as to reversibly break the invert emulsion.

Verwendung nach Ansprüchen 1 bis 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß Bohrklein aus der Abtrennung von Mineralöl-basierten Bohrspülungen unter Einsatz der biologisch abbaubaren O-funktionalisierten Waschöle von nicht abbaubaren Mineralölanteilen praktisch befreit wird und dabei vorzugsweise das mit Mineralöl beladene Waschöl wenigstens anteilsweise der ölbasierten Bohrspülung zugesetzt und damit entsorgt wird.
