Schmiermittel, das einen Hauptanteil eines Öls mit Schmierviskosität oder Fetts umfasst, wobei der Rest aus einem Zusatzmittel besteht, das Aminodi(alkylaryl)phosphordithioat umfasst, das von destillierter Cashewnuss-Schalenflüssigkeit (CNSF) oder hydrogenierter destillierter Cashewnuss-Schalenflüssigkeit (CNSF) deriviert ist.

A process for the preparation of aminodi(alkylaryl)phosphorodithioate for use as an additive in a lubricant composition comprising in the step of : a) reacting distilled cashew nut shell liquid (CNSL) or hydrogenated distilled cashew nut shell liquid (CNSL) with phosphorus pentasulfide to obtain cashew nut shell liquid (CNSL) phosphorodithioic acid; b) subjecting said cashew nut shell liquid (CNSL) phosphorodithioic acid to the step of condensation with amines to obtain said aminodi(alkylaryl)phosphorodithioate.
