Zur Einweihungsfeier am Freitag, den 17.8. war neben den beteiligten Firmen und Verantwortlichen auch die Wirtschaftsministerin Lembke des Landes Rheinland-Pfalz anwesend. In ihrem Grußwort betonte die Ministerin die vielfältigen Vorteile, die sich aus dem Betrieb der Solaranlage ergeben: „Wir schlagen hier gleich zwei Fliegen mit einer Klappe, da die Solaranlage auch ihren Beitrag für die Wirtschaftlichkeit der Deponie leisten wird.“
