Auch Hormone spielen dabei eine wesentliche Rolle. ForscherInnen der MedUni Wien an der Universitätsklinik für Innere Medizin III der Klinischen Abteilung für Endokrinologie und Stoffwechsel haben nachgewiesen, dass Ghrelin, ein Hormon aus dem Magen-Darm-Trakt, bei dicken und dünnen Menschen unterschiedlich reguliert wird und so zu Abweichungen vom Idealgewicht beitragen kann.

Also hormones play an essential role in this. Researchers at the University Clinic of internal medicine III of the clinical Department of Endocrinology and metabolism, the MedUni Vienna have demonstrated that ghrelin, a hormone from the gastro intestinal tract is regulated differently in thick and thin people and can contribute to deviations from the ideal weight.
