Was ist Geothermie Energie? Die vorhandene Erdwärme stammt im Wesentlichen zu ca. 30% -50% aus der Zeit der Entstehung der Erde und zu ca. 50-70 % aus radioaktivem Zerfall und den Gezeitenkräften Die Wärmeenergie aus dem Erdinnern wird über Konduktion (Wärmeleitung) und über Konvektion (Tiefen wasser und Gas aus dem Erdinnern) teilweise in erreichbare Tiefen zur Nutzung transportiert. Wegen der meist sehr geringen Wärmestromdichte wird vor allem die in der Erdkruste gespeicherte Energie genutzt. Bei der oberflächennahen Nutzung der Erdwärme überwiegen Heizen und Kühlen auch vielfach mittels Kopplung mit Wärmekraftpumpen. Bei der sog. tiefen Geothermie überwiegen die direkte Nutzung der Wärme oder auch die indirekte Nutzung mittels Stromerzeugung.
