Später, als Sina schläft, löst Tom deshalb Momas Fesseln. Der Untote fällt darauf im Schlaf über die Ex-Geliebte her und erstickt sie, in dem er ihr den Stumpf seiner Hand in den Rachen rammt. Danach schlägt er ihr mühsam den Schädel am Bettpfosten auf, um wenigstens an ein bisschen Blut zu kommen. Tom ist allerdings nicht der einzige, der dieses Schauspiel beobachtet. Nessi ist Zeuge seiner Tat geworden - hat aber ebenfalls nicht eingegriffen. Angewidert und geschockt konfrontiert sie ihren Freund: Das Experiment Berlin sei gescheitert, ihre Gruppe zerfallen. Und vor allen Dingen seien sie alle zu noch weitaus schlimmeren Monstern geworden, als die Untoten da draußen. Tom will sich gerade erklären, doch in dem Moment erblickt er die offenen Tore. Überall im Gebäude wimmelt es plötzlich nur so vor Zombies. Jemand hat sie einfach reingelassen.
