Extremadura ist schlechthin das Bundesland für das Angeln von grossen Ciprindiden. In den grossen Seen des Flussgebiet des Tajos und des Guadianas dominieren der Schuppenkarpfen, der Bestand an Spiegelkarpen ist weniger als 10%, aber die wenigen gefangenen Exemplare sind gross. In einigen mittelgrossen Seen trifft genau das Gegenteil zu, in denen macht der Bestand an Spiegelkarpfen bis zu 90% aus. In den kleineren Seen gibt es so von allem etwas, und vor allem grosse Karpfen. In Extremadura gibt es tausende Tümpel, Seen, Lagunen und Flussarme und in all diesen Gewässern kann man grosse Exemplare fangen.

Extremadura is the province for excellence where you can angle big cyprinids. In the big lakes of the basin of the rivers Tajo and Guadiana predominate common carp, the population of mirror carp is less than 10%, but the few pieces which have been caught are big. In some of the medium lakes – in the big ones its completely the opposite – the population of mirror carp reaches 90%. In the little lakes you can find everything and most important big carp. In Extremadura exist thousands of puddle, lakes, pools and river arms, in all of them you can find big carp.
