im Jahr 2010 startete die Audi Gastprofessur an der Katholischen Universität Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. Die Audi Gastprofessur ist eine Initiative des Förderkreises für die Wirtschaftswissenschaftliche Fakultät der Katholischen Universität Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. Sie wird von Audi finanziert und erweitert das Lehrangebot der wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Fakultät durch internationale Perspektiven auf ökonomische Themen.

Wiederholt hat er sich zu den Themen Freiheit und Digitalisierung geäußert, insbesondere im Herbst 2010 im Rahmen seiner Gastprofessur an der Universität Cambridge mit der Vortragsreihe „Freedom and the Digital Revolution“.[15] sowie in seinem 2011 bei Propyläen erschienenen Buch „Die Freiheitsfalle“, in dem er sich mit der Freiheitsvergessenheit des Westens beschäftigt.

He has repeatedly expressed his views on the topics of freedom and digitization, in particular in autumn 2010 in the framework of his visiting professorship at the University of Cambridge with the lecture series "Freedom and the Digital Revolution" as well as in his book "Die Freiheitsfalle - The freedom trap" published by Propyläen in 2011, in which he focuses on the forgetting of freedom by the West.
