Hoffentlich wird Europa irgendwann einmal eine eigenständige Rolle spielen, hoffentlich bleibt Europa keine willenloser Gefolgsmann der USA, hoffentlich hört Europa wenigstens damit auf, die Staaten daran zu hindern, ihr Schicksal in die eigene Hand zu nehmen.

I hope that one day Europe will want to play a part, that Europe will stop following the lead of the US, that Europe will at least stop preventing the Member States from playing their own part.
