Lady Diana wurde am 1. Juli.1961 in Sandringham (England) geboren. Sie war die dritte und jüngste Tochter von Edward John Spencer und Lady Frances Spencer. Sie hatte zwei Schwestern Sarah und Jane später bekam sie dann noch einen Bruder, Charles. Mit dem Tod ihres Großvaters erhielten Diana und ihre Schwestern den Höflichkeitstitel "Lady".
