Baitz liegt am Höhenzug des Fläming, einem sandigen Hügelgelände mit Kiefernwäldern. Gleich nebenan die Belziger Landschaftswiesen mit ihrem Schutzgebiet für Großtrappen.

Baitz is situated in a sandy and hilly area with pine woods. Next door are the Belziger Meadows with their protected area for Grosstrappen, a rare bird family.
