Ein neuer NDR-Staatsvertrag wird 2005 von den vier Landesregierungen der NDR-Staats-vertragsländer unterzeichnet. Dieser sieht eine Ausweitung der regionalen Berichterstattung und Veränderungen innerhalb der Aufsichtsgremien vor. Seit 2009 bietet der NDR eine Mediathek an und das „Hamburger Hafenkonzert“, die älteste Hörfunksendung der Welt, feiert ihren 80. Geburtstag.

A new NDR State Treaty signed in 2005 by the four provincial governments of the NDR State Treaty countries. This includes an extension of the regional coverage and changes in the regulatory bodies. Since 2009, the NDR to a library and the "Port of Hamburg Concert", the oldest radio program in the world, is celebrating its 80th Birthday.
