Hermaphrodit

Das Flügeltor ist der Gott selbst: ein Hermaphrodit aus zwei Hälften, die die Türe bilden, – die rechte weiblich, die linke männlich. – Er sitzt auf einem kostbaren, flachen Thron aus Perlmutter – im Halbrelief – und sein goldener Kopf ist der eines Hasen. Die Ohren sind in die Höhe gestellt und dicht aneinander, daß sie aussehen wie die beiden Seiten eines aufgeschlagenen Buches. –
