Kammermusik hat einen zentralen Stellenwert in der Ausbildung der ZHdK. Sie ist der Überbegriff für alle Ensembleformationen; so gelten auch eine Improvisationsgruppe, ein Vokalquartett, eine Jazzband oder ein Schlagzeugtrio als Kammermusik. Ebenso gehören Sonaten für Instrument und Klavier sowie Liedduo in den Bereich der Kammermusik und werden in speziellen Kursen sowie im Hauptfachunterricht gepflegt.

Chamber music occupies a central role in the music training offered at Zurich University of the Arts. It is the umbrella term for all types of ensembles, including improvisation groups, vocal quartets, a jazz band, or a drum trio. Also included in chamber music are sonatas for instrument and piano, as well as Lied duos. These variations are taught both in specialised courses and in main subject courses.
