Geister und Zombies, Werwölfe und Aliens, UFOs und Yetis: Die Welt ist voll von ihnen – glauben die einen. Totaler Mumpitz – sagen die anderen. Aber was ist wirklich dran an den diversen Gruselmonstern? Und warum finden sich in allen Kulturen Schreckgestalten, die den Menschen Furcht einflößen?

Ghosts and zombies, werewolves and aliens, UFOs, and Yetis: The world is full of them - believe that one. Total nonsense - say others. But what really is truth to the various scary monsters? And why are found in all cultures shock figures who inspire the fear of man?

Der Mond... Was interpretiert, schreibt, und fabuliert man nicht alles unserem beständigen Begleiter der Erde zu, seit Menschengedenken werden ihm die abstrusesten Dinge zugeschrieben. Mythen, Riten... Ja, sogar ganze Religionen beruhen darauf, auf diesem netten himmlischen Wächter, der uns da seit Milliarden von Jahren umkreist, wie eine Wespe um einen Marmeladen Topf. Aufgeklärte auf und gebildete Geister tun das natürlich als Mumpitz ab. Aber selbst ein gebildeter Humanist wird nicht fähig sein, sich der Magie von einer schönen klaren Mondnacht zu entziehen, weil sie ihre ganz besondere Anziehung auf die menschliche Natur ausübt. Von romantisch bis gefährlich und unheimlich wird jede Stimmung dort wieder zu finden sein. Als ein Fotograf ging François Alexandre Kellermann der Welt im Bann des Mondes auf ganz besonderen Weise auf dem Grund; - unserer Erde im Zauber des Mondlichtes.

 What interpreted, writes, and fantasising it not all our constant companion of the Earth too, since time immemorial the most abstruse things are attributed to him. Myths, rites.... Yes, even entire religions are heavenly on this cute watchman, because orbiting us for billions of years, like a WaSP to a jam pot.
 On enlightened and educated minds of course dismiss that as Balderdash. But even an educated humanist will not be able to escape the magic of a beautiful clear moonlit night, because it exerts its special attraction to the human nature. From romantic to dangerous and scary every mood will be there again. 
 As a photographer, François Alexandre Kellermann went
 the world under the spell of the Moon in a very special way on the ground; -our Earth in the magic of the moonlight.
