Für die Untersuchung der Wechselwirkung von Rab1 mit weiteren bekannten trans-Spleißfaktoren wurden Hefe-Zwei-Hybrid-Analysen durchgeführt, wobei eine Interaktion mit Raa3, Rat2 und Raa1 demonstriert werden konnte. Mit der Durchführung von quantitativen Real-Time PCR-Analysen wurde die Auswirkung der Deletion des trans-Spleißfaktors Raa4 auf die Expression der anderen Spleißfaktoren untersucht. Dabei konnte eine verringerte Transkriptmenge von RAB1 und RAT2 in der Raa4-Mutante festgestellt werden.
