Begrüsst wurden die Diplomatinnen und Diplomaten unter anderem von Marina Carobbio Guscetti, Tessiner Nationalrätin und Vize-Präsidentin der Alpen-Initiative, und Markus Züst, Urner Regierungsrat und Repräsentant der Zentralschweizer Regierungskonferenz im europäischen iMonitraf-Projekt. Beide betonten, wie wichtig die Verlagerung für die Kantone entlang der Gotthard-Achse ist. Sie plädierten auch für eine Alpentransitbörse, das wirksamste Lenkungsinstrument, um die Lastwagenfahrten durch die Alpen zu beschränken, Transportenergie zu sparen und die Bahnen auszulasten.

The diplomats were welcomed by Marina Carobbio Guscetti, a National Councillor from Ticino and Vice-President of the Alpine Initiative, and by Markus Züst, a member of the regional government of Uri and representative of the Central Switzerland governmental conference on the European iMonitraf project.
