Gerät (10) zur Devitalisierung eines kranken Zahnes (80), indem das Gefäßund Nervenbündel inaktiv gemacht wird, das einen Generator für elektrische Hochfrequenz-Impulse (122) umfaßt, die auf den Zahn (80) übertragen werden, indem der Stromkreis zwischen einer ersten Elektrode (100), die in eine Öffnung (95) einzuführen ist, welche in genanntem Zahn geschaffen wird, und einer zweiten Elektrode (64), die am Körper des Patienten (110) anzubringen ist, geschlossen wird, und das einen elektronischen Kreis umfaßt, der, wenn die zweite Elektrode an einer Lippe (111) des Patienten (110) angebracht wird, die Position der Spitze der ersten Elektrode (100) mißt, die in den Wurzelkanälen (84, 85) des Zahnes (80) an der Wurzelspitzen-Öffnung (90) dieser Kanäle eingeführt ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die erste Elektrode (100) die Form einer Nadel hat und dadurch, daß der elektronische Kreis so aufgebaut ist, um mittels eines akustischen und optischen Signals das Ankommen der Elektroden-Spitze (100) in der Nähe der Wurzelspitzen-Öffnung (90) anzuzeigen, gekennzeichnet durch eine weitere zweite neutrale Elektrode mit der Form eines Griffes (60), die an einer Hand des Patienten (110) anzubringen ist, um elektrische Hochfrequenzimpulse zu senden, um den Wurzelkanal zu devitalisieren, und dadurch , daß das Gerät Drucktasten (30-33) umfaßt, um die Werte der Leistung, der Zeit und der Frequenz genannter Impulse je nach der Art des Zahnes, Schneidezahn, Eckzahn, vorderer Backenzahn und Backenzahn, zu regulieren, und eine Steuerung (24), um genannte Werte zu erhöhen, bis das Gefäß- und Nervenbündel inaktiv gemacht worden ist, indem der Teil des Gefäß- und Nervenbündels (41,42) zerstört wird, der mit der Elektrode (100) in Berührung kommt, was die Koagulation des nicht eliminierten Teiles dieses Bündels erlaubt.
