Polarisationsmodulation

Polarisationsverwürfelungssystem, insbesondere zur Verwendung in einem optischen Übertragungssystem (10) nach Anspruch 1, umfassend: einen Polarisationsverwürfler (6b); einen Bezugsfrequenzextraktor (15) zum Extrahieren eines Bezugsfrequenzsignals am Eingang des Verwürflers aus der Polarisationsmodulation eines polarisationsverwürfelten optischen Signals; und mindestens einen Verwürfelungsfrequenzgenerator (17a, 17c) zum Erzeugen einer Verwürfelungsfrequenz des Polarisationsverwürflers (6b) in Synchronität mit dem Ausgang des Bezugsfrequenzextraktors (15).

Polarization scrambling system, in particular for use in a fiber optical system (10) according to claim 1, comprising: a polarization scrambler (6b), a reference frequency extractor (15) for extracting at the input of the scrambler, a reference frequency signal from the polarization modulation of a polarization scrambled optical signal, and at least one scrambling frequency generator (17a, 17c) for generating a scrambling frequency of the polarization scrambler (6b) in synchronism with the output of the reference frequency extractor (15).
