Ich meine auch, dass sie nicht nur in der Präambel erwähnt werden soll, sondern die Charta sollte das erste Kapitel der Verfassung sein.

I agree that it should not be mentioned only in the Preamble, but that the Charter should form the first chapter of the constitution.

(PL) Herr Präsident! Bitte nehmen Sie zur Kenntnis, dass ich bei der Abstimmung über Buchstabe L der Präambel (das war eine namentliche Abstimmung) des Berichts Andrejevs versehentlich dafür gestimmt habe, obwohl ich dagegen stimmen wollte.

(PL) Mr President, I would like it to be noted that in the Andrejevs report, when voting for point L of the preamble (it was a roll-call vote) I accidentally voted in favour when I meant to vote against.

Das ist leider nicht erreicht worden, was wir sehr bedauern. Aber viele unserer gemeinsamen Werte finden sich in der Präambel und in der Grundrechte-Charta, so dass wir alles in allem Ja sagen, und in Rom, dieser großen europäischen Stadt, wo 1957 die Römischen Verträge unterzeichnet wurden, wird es dann zur Unterzeichnung kommen.

That has not, unfortunately, been achieved, and we very much regret it, but many of our common values are to be found in the Preamble and in the Charter of Fundamental Rights, so that, all in all, we can say yes to it, and it will be signed in Rome, that great European city in which, in 1957, the Treaties of Rome were signed.

Darüber hinaus kann festgestellt werden, dass nach Auffassung einer großen Mehrheit der Beschäftigten dieses Sektors die Fänge nicht eingebrochen sind, dass Einwohner und Touristen, die im Übrigen sehr zahlreich in der gerade vergangenen Osterwoche nach Galicien kamen, abgesehen von dem einen oder anderen punktuellen Problem, das es immer gibt, saubere Strände vorfanden, dass die Hilfen und Leistungen pünktlich ankamen und dass wir zudem alle stolz sein können auf die Solidarität der Bürgerinnen und Bürger und auf die Gewissheit, dass die Völker Europas entschlossen sind, die alten Trennungen zu überwinden und ihr gemeinsames Schicksal zu gestalten, wie es in der Präambel der künftigen Verfassung heißt.

It can also be asserted that, according to the opinion of a large majority of the professionals in this sector, the catches have not suffered; that neighbours and tourists who have come to Galicia in great numbers over the recent Easter week, possibly with some specific problems, which there always are, found our beaches to be clean, and that help and assistance have arrived punctually and, furthermore, that we can all be proud of our civic solidarity, in the knowledge that the peoples of Europe are resolved to overcome their former divisions and to shape a common destiny, as called for in the preamble of the future Constitution.
