Fig. 2 verkörpert einen schematisch dargestellten Längsschnitt des Basistriebwerks 1. Im Sinne der Hauptdurchströmrichtung - von links nach rechts gesehen - beinhaltet der Gasgenerator des Basistriebwerks 1 einen kombinierten Axial-Radialverdichter 11, eine Umkehr-Ringbrennkam­ mer 12 und eine Verdichterantriebsturbine 13, die über eine gemeinsame Hohlwelle 14 den Verdichter 11 antreibt.
