Der Arbeitsschutz. Unter dem Begriff Arbeitsschutz versteht man Regelungen und Maßnahmen die für die Sicherheit und Gesundheit der Beschäftigten bei der Arbeit da sind. Das Ziel ist die Unfallverhütung und der Schutz der Arbeitnehmer, sowie die menschengerechte Gestaltung der Arbeit wodurch die Leistungsbereitschaft und –fähigkeit der Arbeiternehmer gesteigert wird. Das Arbeitsschutzgesetz ist eine Rahmenvorschrift (festgeschrieben im Sozialgesetzbuch) ohne detaillierte Vorgaben, wodurch der Spielraum des Arbeitgebers erweitert wird. Er muss die Arbeitsstätten, Maschinen, Geräte, Anlagen usw. so einrichten, dass die Arbeitnehmer gegen Gefahren für Leben und Gesundheit geschützt sind. Bei den Maßnahmen ist der Stand von Technik, Hygiene sowie sonstige arbeitswissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse zu berücksichtigen.
