Ihre Brand und Schlachtopfer sind mir zu wieder.

Habt ihr vom Hause Israel mir in der Wüste die vierzig Jahre lang Schlachtopfer und Speisopfer geopfert?

Have ye offered unto me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel?

Warum tretet ihr denn mit Füßen meine Schlachtopfer und Speisopfer, die ich geboten habe in der Wohnung? Und du ehrst deine Söhne mehr denn mich, daß ihr euch mästet von dem Besten aller Speisopfer meines Volkes Israel.

Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people?

Und darum habe ich dem Haus Elis geschworen: Wenn jemals die Schuld des Hauses Elis gesühnt werden soll durch Schlachtopfer oder durch Speisopfer, ewig!

"And therefore I have sworn to the house of Eli that the iniquity of Eli's house shall not be atoned for by sacrifice or offering forever."

Denn nahe ist der Tag des HERRN, denn der HERR hat ein Schlachtopfer zubereitet, er hat seine Geladenen geheiligt.

For Yahweh has prepared a sacrifice. He has consecrated his guests.

Er wird Schlachtopfer und Speisopfer abschaffen, im Heiligtum steht das Greuelbild.

He will stop to sacrifice and grain offering; in the temple there will be abomination of desolation.

Und sollt das Fett fressen, daß ihr voll werdet, und das Blut saufen, daß ihr trunken werdet, von dem Schlachtopfer, das ich euch schlachte.

And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.
