Eine "ghosted" Abbilddatei kann sich über mehrere CD-Rs erstrecken und der Sicherungssatz kann eine bootfähige CD-ROM sein.Individuelle Dateien können aus der .GHO-Abbilddatei aus einer Windowsanwendung aus extrahiert werden.

It currently works rather well as a way of backing up an entire disk partition quickly. A "ghosted" image file can be spanned across multiple CD-Rs, and the backup set can be a bootable CD-ROM. Individual files can be extracted from the .GHO image files from a Windows application.
