Bisphenol-A (BPA) ist ein Stoff, der bei der Herstellung von Polycarbonat und Kunstharzen verwendet wird. Typische Verwendungszwecke sind z. B. Babyfläschchen, CD-Rohlinge, Brillengläser, Autoscheinwerfer. In Verpackungsfolien kommt dieser Stoff nicht zum Einsatz. Bei den wenigen festen Kunststoffen die wir verwenden (z. B. Smoothieflaschen, Joghurtbecher, Dosierflaschen für Honig und Agavendicksaft) kommt dieser Stoff ebenfalls nicht zum Einsatz. Die Folien bestehen meist aus Polypropylen (PP) und Polyethylen (PE). In diesen Materialien wird kein Bisphenol-A verwendet.

Bisphenol A (BPA) is a substance that is used in the production of polycarbonate, and synthetic resins. Typical uses include baby bottles, blank CDs, lenses, car headlights. In packaging films, this substance is not used. In the few solid plastics that we use (eg Smoothieflaschen, yogurt cups, dosing bottles for honey and agave nectar), this substance is also not used. The films are usually made of polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE). In these materials, no bisphenol-A is used.
