Triskaidekaphobie, die Angst vor der 13: Ein Berliner Hausbesitzer bat 1910 darum, sein Haus in Nr. 12a umzubenennen, da ihm wegen der Unglückszahl 13 Mieteinbußen entstünden.

Triskaidekaphobia: the fear of the number 13. In 1910 the owner of a building in Berlin requested that his property, number 13, be renumbered 12a. He was losing money because potential renters were scared off by the superstition surrounding the number.
