Die Leistung dieser geplanten Windkraftanlagen soll über 33-kV-Seekabel auf einer Offshore Umspannplattform (Electrical Offshore Substation = EOS) zusammengeführt werden. Zur Einspeisung in das Übertragungsnetz soll eine Umspannung von 33 kV auf 220 kV auf der EOS realisiert werden. Die Leistung soll auf der 220-kV-Spannungsebene mit dem Netzanbindungssystem, bestehend aus zwei Seekabeln (Exportkabeln), von dem Übertragungsnetzbetreiber (Transmission System Operator = TSO) ans Festland bis zum Umspannwerk Lubmin geführt werden. Zudem ist die direkte Verbindung des OWP AWE mit dem OWP Wikinger auf der 220-kV-Ebene durch einen Interconnector geplant.
