Im FP7-Projekt „Optimising Passenger Transport Information to Materialise Insights for Sustainable Mobility“ (OPTIMISM) arbeiten das Coventry University Enterprises, die ZHAW und verschiedene Forschungsinstitute aus ganz Europa zusammen. In einem ersten Schritt wurde das Problem definiert: das Verkehrssystem und unser Mobilitätsverhalten sind zu wenig effizient. Es gilt die Ressourcennutzung zu optimieren, beispielsweise durch eine verbesserte Auslastung des privaten und öffentlichen Verkehrs. Die optimale Verknüpfung von unterschiedlichen Verkehrsträgern bietet hier Lösungen. In einem zweiten Schritt geht es darum, kreative Lösungen für die Organisation des Verkehrssystems und die Steuerung der Nachfrage zu entwickeln. To this end, the project partners identify all driving forces, analyse resulting trends and develop future scenarios. Die Arbeitsteilung ist so organisiert, dass die Partner jeweils ihre fachlichen Stärken einbringen können.

In the FP7 project "Optimising Passenger Transport Information to Materialise Insights for Sustainable Mobility" (OPTIMISM) revise the Coventry University Enterprises, the ZHAW and various research institutes from across Europe. In a first step, the problem was defined as the transport system and our mobility patterns are not very efficient. It is necessary to optimize resource utilization, for example through improved utilization of the private and public transport. The optimal combination of different modes of transport offers solutions. In a second step is to develop creative solutions for the organization of the transport system and demand management. To this end, the project partners identify all driving forces, trends and analysis resulting develop future scenarios. The division of labor is organized so that each partner can bring in their professional strengths.
