In „Solei du midi“ spielen die Alphörner dann endlich, wie man es sich in den Schweizer Bergen vorstellt, dazu übernimmt das Vibraphon den Klang der Kuhglocken, doch bevor es dem Zuschauer zu heimelig wird, erschallt aus einem geöffneten Fenster eines Hauses am Platz die Pennywhistle und mischt mit.

In "Solei du midi", the alphorns eventually play just as you envisage in the Swiss mountains; the vibraphone takes on the sound of the cow bells, but before it becomes too homely for the audience, the pennywhistle resounds out of an open window of a house in the square and mixes in with the music.
