Die Rohrstutzen und die seitlichen Verschlusseinrichtungen sowie alle Entleerungseinrichtungen muessen entweder von der aeussersten Begrenzung des Tanks um 200 mm zurueckversetzt oder durch ein schuetzendes Profil mit einem Widerstandsmoment von mindestens 20 cm3 quer zur Fahrtrichtung geschuetzt sein . Der Bodenabstand muss bei vollem Tank mindestens 300 mm betragen .

Pipe-sockets , lateral shut-off devices , and all discharge devices shall either be recessed by at lest 200 mm from the extreme outer edge of the shell or be protected by a rail having a coefficient of inertia of not less than 20 cm3 transversally to the direction of travel ; their ground clearance shall be not less than 300 mm with the shell full .
