KOFAX Capture analysiert den Inhalt der Scandatei durch „zonales OCR“. Dabei werden je nach verwendetem Template/Dokumentenart Inhalte bestimmter Teilbereiche einem Metadatum zugewiesen. Weiterhin wird eine Wortliste erstellt die eine Volltextsuche im Archiv als weitere Suchfunktion ermöglicht.
