Xanthom

Die homozygote familiäre Hypercholesterinämie wurde durch einen LDL-Cholesterinspiegel ≥ 500 mg/dl und das Vorhandensein von mindestens 2 der folgenden Kriterien definiert: tendinöses Xanthom, beide Eltern mit der Diagnose einer familiären Hypercholesterinämie oder einem LDL- Rezeptor-Genotyp, der auf eine Mutation in beiden LDL-Rezeptorgenen hindeutet.

Homozygous familiar hypercholesterolemia was defined by an LDL cholesterol level ≥ 500 mg/ dl and the presence of at least 2 of the following: tendinous xanthoma, both parents with a diagnosis of familial hypercholesterolemia or an LDL-receptor genotype indicating the presence of a mutation in both LDL receptor genes.
