Um näher am Produktionsstandort der Zeppeline zu sein, zieht das Unternehmen 1912 nach Friedrichshafen.

Geschichte der zeppeline Das erste Luftschiff LZ 1 Die erste Skizze zeichnete graf zeppelin lange vor dem bau des ersten luftschiffes. Der erste Prototyp wurde 1892, mit dem Techniker Theodor Korber entwickelt und LZ 1 genannt. Am 2. Juli 1900 war es endlich so weit: Um 20.03 Uhr, stieg der Graf mit seinem LZ 1 400 Meter hoch in den Himmel . An Bord waren 5 Personen und 350 kg Ballast. Nach dem dem 18 minütigen Flug gabe es eine notlandung wegen technischer probleme. Aber es war trotzdem ein erflog.
