Nicht nur meine Eltern, auch mein Opa merkte schnell, dass der kleine Christian sich sehr für Musik begeisterte und hat mich stets gefördert. Mit sechs Jahren bekam ich Blockflötenunterricht am Osnabrücker Konservatorium, dabei lernte ich die ersten Noten. Mein Vater, mein Bruder und ich spielten dann bei uns zuhause dreistimmig Blockflöte, meine Mutter floh dann immer in die Küche und machte zwei Türen fest zu, die Arme. Mein lieber Opa schenkte mir zu Weihnachten 1971 ein kleines, aber echtes Akkordeon, das ich immer noch habe.
