Der DSP ist so anzubringen , dass er beim Absenken ueber die gesamte entstehende Rinnen entlang der Korkleine verlaeuft , vom Aussenbordende des zuletzt eingeholten Stapels am Bug bis ueber eine Laenge von mindestens zwei Dritteln der Entfernung zwischen der Mitte der beim Absenken entstehenden Rinne und dem Punkt , an dem das Netz am Heck festgemacht ist . Der DSP besteht aus kleinmaschigem Netztuch ( gestreckte Maschen von hoechstens 1 1 / 4 inches ( 3,2 cm ) , das von der Korkleine bis zu einer Tiefe von mindestens zwei Streifen reicht .

( i ) a minimum length of 180 fathoms ( as measured before installation ) , except that the minimum length of the DSP in nets deeper than 18 strips must be determined in a ratio of 10 fathoms in lengths for each strip of net depth . The DSP must be installed so as to cover the backdown channel along the corkline , beginning at the outboard end of the last bow bunch pulled and continuing to at least two thirds of the distance from the apex of the backdown channel to the point where the net is secured at the stern . The DSP shall consist of small-mesh webbing not to exceed 1 [ frac14 ] inches ( 3,2 cm ) stretched mesh , extending downward from the corkline to a minimum depth of two strips ;
