Ein Verfahren zur Wiederherstellung eines Tuches (42) einer Unterlage einer Rotationsstanzmaschine einer Maschine zum Herstellen von Schachteln, welches Verfahren aufweist den Schritt des Abschleifens der Oberfläche des Tuches mit einer sich drehenden abschleifenden Walze (16), die mit der Oberfläche des Tuches während der Schachtelherstellung in Eingriff gelangt während die Rotationsstanzmaschine Wellpappen schneidet oder falzt und unter Verwendung einer abschleifenden Walze, die drehbar entlang der Seite der Unterlage angebracht ist, wobei die Geschwindigkeit der Unterlage angepaßt wird, um Änderungen im Durchmesser der Unterlage zu kompensieren, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Verfahren benutzt den Schritt der Verwendung der Stellung der abschleifenden Walze relativ zu der Unterlage um zu bestimmen, um wieviel die Geschwindigkeit der Unterlage geändert werden sollte um die Änderung im Durchmesser der Unterlage zu kompensieren, und den Schritt der Verwendung einer Recheneinrichtung (50) um den Durchmesser der Unterlage in Antwort auf eine Änderung in der Stellung der abschleifenden Walze relativ zu der Unterlage zu berechnen und zum Anpassen der Geschwindigkeit der Unterlage um die Änderung im Durchmesser der Unterlage zu kompensieren, einen Motor (60) zum Anpassen der Stellung der Unterlage, und einen Rechner um die Geschwindigkeit der Unterlage zu ändern um Änderungen im Durchmesser der Unterlage zu kompensieren.

Verfahren zum Bilden eines Versandbriefs (M) mit einem darin enthaltenen Dokument (DF) aus einer einzigen, sich in Längsrichtung vorwärtsbewegenden Papierbahn (10), bei dem man jeweilige Dokumenten- und Umschlaginformationen darstellende Angaben nebeneinander an der Bahn (10) entlang abbildet, zur Kennzeichnung übereinstimmender Dokumente und Umschlagabschnitte auf der Bahn (10) jeweilige Seiten (18, 16) der Bahn mit Markierungen versieht, die Bahn zur Bildung von Dokumenten- bzw. Umschlagbahnen (18, 16) in Längsrichtung aufschneidet, wobei die Umschlagbahn (16) die Umschlagabschnitte trägt, die dokumentenbildende Bahn in einzelne Dokumente trennt, die Dokumente falzt, die Dokumente und die Umschlagbahn aufeinander ausrichtet, feststellt, ob die Markierungen auf den Umschlagabschnitten der Umschlagbahn und den Dokumenten übereinstimmen, um sicherzustellen, dass die Dokumente und die Umschlagabschnitte der Umschlagbahn übereinstimmend ausgerichtet sind, eine erste Umschlagklappe (31) der Umschlagbahn (16) in der Nähe einer Seite jedes Dokuments (DF) falzt, um das Dokument (DF) in der gefalzten Umschlagbahn (16) zu halten, wobei gegenüberliegende Enden der ersten Umschlagklappe (31) und andere Abschnitte der Umschlagbahn aufeinander ausgerichtet sind, eine zweite Umschlagklappe (33) von der Umschlagbahn (16) in der Nähe einer gegenüberliegenden Seite jedes Dokuments (DF) über das Dokument und einen Abschnitt der ersten Umschlagklappe (31) falzt, die zweite Umschlagklappe (33) an einen Abschnitt der ersten Umschlagklappe (31) klebt, die gegenüberliegenden Enden der ersten Umschlagklappe (31) und die ausgerichteten anderen Abschnitte der Umschlagbahn (16) befestigt und die die Dokumente enthaltende Umschlagbahn trennt, sodass einzelne, jeweils ein Dokument enthaltende Umschläge (M) gebildet werden. A method for forming a mailer (M) with a document (DF) contained therein from a single web of paper (10) advancing in a longitudinal direction, comprising the steps of: imaging indicia in side-by-side relation along the web (10) representing respective document and envelope information; providing marks on said respective sides (18, 16) of the web for identifying matching documents and envelope portions on the web (10); slitting the web in the longitudinal direction to form document and envelope webs, (18, 16) respectively, with the envelope web (16) carrying the envelope portions; cutting the document-forming web into discrete documents; folding said documents; registering the documents and envelope web with one another; determining a match between marks on the envelope portions of said envelope web and said documents to ensure matching registration of documents and envelope portions of the envelope web; folding a first envelope flap (31) of the envelope web (16) adjacent one side of each document (DF) to contain the document (DF) within the folded envelope web (16) with the first envelope flap (31) having opposite ends in registration with other portions of the envelope web; folding a second envelope flap (33) from the envelope web (16) adjacent an opposite side of each document (DF) over the document and a portion of the first envelope flap (31); adhering the second envelope flap (33) to a portion of the first envelope flap (31); securing the opposite ends of the first envelope flap (31) and the registering other portions of the envelope web (16); and cutting the envelope web containing the documents to form discrete envelopes (M) each containing a document. A method according to claim 1 including cutting the envelope web with the documents contained within the envelope portions to a predetermined size leaving chips (37) between the envelope portions and discarding chips.

Verfahren zum Bilden eines Versandbriefs (M) mit einem darin enthaltenen Dokument (DF) aus einer einzigen, sich in Längsrichtung vorwärtsbewegenden Papierbahn, bei dem man jeweilige Dokumenten- und Umschlaginformationen darstellende Angaben nebeneinander an der Bahn entlang abbildet, die Bahn zur Bildung von dokumenten- (18) und umschlagbildenden Bahnen (16) in Längsrichtung aufschneidet, die dokumentenbildende Bahn (18) in einzelne Dokumente trennt, die Dokumente falzt, die Dokumente und die Umschlagbahn aufeinander ausrichtet, an längs voneinander beabstandeten Stellen der Umschlagbahn unter Festlegung einzelner umschlagbildender Abschnitte Querbahnklebstoff (28) auf die Umschlagbahn aufträgt, den Umschlagabschnitt der Umschlagbahn in der Nähe einer Seite jedes Dokuments zur Bildung einer ersten Klappe (31) falzt, damit das Dokument in der gefalzten Umschlagbahn gehalten werden kann, den Umschlagabschnitt der Umschlagbahn in der Nähe einer gegenüberliegenden Seite jedes Dokuments zur Bildung einer zweiten Klappe (33), die über dem Dokument und Abschnitten der ersten Klappe liegt, falzt, die zweite Klappe und Abschnitte der ersten Klappe miteinander verklebt, gegenüberliegende Enden der Umschlagabschnitte der Umschlagbahn an einander befestigt und die die Dokumente enthaltende Umschlagbahn in einzelne, jeweils ein Dokument enthaltende Umschläge trennt und wahlweise noch separate Streifen Querbahnklebstoff (28a, 28b) auf die Umschlagbahn zwischen ihren einzelnen Umschlagabschnitten aufträgt und die Umschlagbahn unter Bildung von Abfallstücken, die entsorgt werden, zwischen den Streifen trennt.

A method for forming a mailer (M) with a document (DF) contained therein from a single web of paper advancing in a longitudinal direction, comprising the steps of: imaging indicia in side-by-side relation along the web representing respective document and envelope information; slitting the web in the longitudinal direction to form document (18) and envelope-forming webs (16); cutting the document-forming web (18) into discrete documents; folding said documents; registering the documents and envelope web with one another; applying cross-web adhesive (28) to said envelope web at spaced longitudinal locations therealong defining discrete envelope-forming portions thereof; folding the envelope portion of the envelope web adjacent one side of each document to form a first flap (31) to contain the document within the folded envelope web; folding the envelope portion of the envelope web adjacent an opposite side of each document to form a second flap (33) overlying the document and portions of the first flap; adhering the second flap and portions of the first flap to one another; securing opposite ends of the envelope portions of the envelope web to one another; and cutting the envelope web containing the documents into discrete envelopes each containing a document; and optionally including applying separate strips of cross-web adhesive (28a, 28b) to the envelope web between discrete envelope portions thereof and cutting the envelope web between the strips forming chips and discarding the chips.
