Dabei kommt mir ein Gespräch mit einem alten Landwirt aus West Cork im Nordwesten Irlands in den Sinn, der mir einmal Folgendes sagte: Es gibt kein Mittel, das die Haare wieder sprießen lässt - die Betroffenen hier im Parlament mögen mir verzeihen; es gibt keine Brille, mit der man durch Kleider hindurchsehen kann und es gibt keinen Tag, an dem nicht ein Dummer auf die Welt kommt.

But it also brings to mind something an old farmer in West Cork in the south-west of Ireland once said to me: there is no such thing as an oil that can make your hair grow - apologies to those folically challenged within the Chamber; there is no such thing as a pair of glasses that can let you see through clothes and, also, there is a fool born every day.
