Die Frische eines geschlagenen Weihnachtsbaumes ist in etwa an der Frische der Schnittwunde erkennbar - in dieser Form aber eher als Fachmannssache. Stark nadelnde Fichten sind garantiert nicht mehr frisch, ebenso wenig wie Tannen, deren Triebspitzen bereits schrumpeln.
