43 Es entstand nun seinethalben eine Spaltung in der Volksmenge.

43 There was a division therefore in the crowd on account of him.

32 And no sin will be yours on account of it, when the best of it has been lifted up on high; you are not to make a wrong use of the holy things of the children of Israel, so that death may not overtake you.

Lev 19:17 Du sollst deinen Bruder nicht hassen in deinem Herzen, sondern du sollst deinen Nächsten zurechtweisen, auf dass du nicht seinethalben Schuld tragen müssest.

17 "You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but you shall reason frankly with your neighbor, lest you incur sin because of him.

18:32 Und ihr werdet seinethalben keine Sünde auf euch laden, wenn ihr das Beste davon hebet, und werdet die heiligen Dinge der Kinder Israel nicht entweihen und nicht sterben.

18:32 And ye shall bear no sin by reason of it, if ye heave from it the best of it; and ye shall not profane the holy things of the children of Israel, lest ye die.

Dieweil es aber ein tröstlicher Artikel, wenn er recht gehandelt, und deshalben [und damit seinethalben] nicht künftiglich ärgerliche Disputation eingeführt werden möchte, ist derselbe in dieser Schrift auch erklärt worden.

But since it is a consolatory article, if treated properly, and lest offensive disputations concerning the same be instituted in the future, it is also explained in this writing.
