Scharnierstift (20, 120, 220, 320) zur Drehachsenbildung und/oder Befestigung von Blechschrankscharnieren (10), insbesondere für solche, bei denen der Scharnierstift als Klemmstift zur Befestigung des Scharniers in einer Ausklinkung im Abkantbereich (22) des Türblatts oder der Türklappe oder des Schrankgehäuses (14) oder eines Maschinengehäuses dient, wobei das eine Ende des Scharnierstiftes (34) an einer Seite über den Stiftquerschnitt unter Bildung eines Handhabungsansatzes, wie Hakens, weit hinausragt, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das in das Scharnier (10) einzuschiebende Ende (44) des Scharnierstiftes einen über den Stiftquerschnitt vorzugsweise in die gleiche Richtung wie die des Handhabungsansatzes (34) federnd vorspringenden Arretieransatz (32, 132, 232, 332) aufweist, der einerseits gegen Federkraft ein Einschieben des Stiftes in das Scharnier erlaubt, andererseits nach dem Einschieben des Stiftes infolge Federkraft sich sichernd an die entsprechende Scharnierstirnseite (36) gegen ein ungewolltes Zurückschieben anlegt, und daß der Arretieransatz (32, 132, 232, 332) eine an einer Seite des Stiftes (20, 120, 220, 320) angebrachte, mit dem Stift federnd verbundene und im entspannten Zustand von der Stiftspitze (44) weg schräg in Richtung auf Handhabungsansatz sich erstreckende Anschlagnase (32, 132, 232, 332) bildet, die gegen die Federkraft in eine Einsenkung (z. B. 40 in Fig. 6a) eingedrückt werden kann.
