Der Kontinent und das Land Australien liegt nordwestlich von Neuseeland und südlich von Indonesien, Timor-Leste und Papua-Neuguinea. Er umfasst die gesamte Hauptlandmasse des Kontinents Australien sowie die vorgelagerte Insel Tasmanien und einige kleinere Inseln. Darüber hinaus gehören noch einige Inseln als „Außengebiete“ zum Australischen Bund.

The continent and the country Australia is located Northwest of New Zealand and South of Indonesia, Timor-Leste and Papua New Guinea. It includes the entire main land mass of the continent of Australia and the offshore island of Tasmania and some smaller islands. In addition, some islands as "Territories" belong to the Australian Federal Government.
