First of all, many thanks for your wishes, but don't worry about me. As the saying goes, bad weeds grow tall. As mentioned in my e-mail dated October 10, CEN and ISO standardisation of woodworking machines was dicussed at yesterday's meeting of our (VDMA Holz) technical working group, with the following results. A formal decision whether DIN will relinquish TC 39/SC 4 secretariat or not will be taken at a dedicated meeting to be scheduled for end of January or beginning of February 2013. As mentioned at the last TC 142 meeting, my personal aim is to step down as SC 4 secretary so as being in a better position to further the German intrests at ISO level, e.g. as head of delegation. I am fairly optimistic that the meting in January/February will decide to relinquish SC 4 secretariat.

Zunächst einmal, ich vielen Dank für Ihre Wünsche, aber keine Sorgen um mich. Wie das Sprichwort sagt, wachsen Unkraut hoch. Wie in meinem E-Mail vom 10. Oktober erwähnt, wurde CEN und ISO-Standardisierung von Holzbearbeitungsmaschinen in der gestrigen Sitzung unseres (VDMA Holz) technische Arbeitsgruppe besprachen, mit den folgenden Ergebnissen. Eine formale Entscheidung, ob DIN wird TC 39/SC 4 Sekretariat oder nicht aufgeben wird auf einem dedizierten Treffen für Ende Januar oder Anfang Februar 2013 geplant, zu berücksichtigen. Wie bei der letzten TC 142 Treffen erwähnt, ist mein persönliches Ziel zum Rücktritt als SC 4 Sekretärin so in einer besseren Position, um die deutschen intrests auf ISO-Ebene, als Delegationsleiter zB zu fördern. Ich bin ziemlich optimistisch, dass das Austeilen im Januar / Februar wird sich entscheiden, SC 4 Sekretariat abzugeben.
