Largely self-taught, Lala Kova?ev began his professional career as a member of the Dixieland Ensemble Dinamo when he was 17 and within two years he became the youngest member of the Radio Belgrade Jazz Orchestra led by Vojislav Simi?.

Mit siebzehn Jahren wurde er Mitglied des "Radio Belgrade Jazz Orchestra", das damals von Vojislav Simic geleitet wurde.

Also part of the project is the Alabama Dixieland Jazz Band, who are in the process of recording their first album. “I’m neither a historian nor a jazz expert, and much less ‘canaria’, but the stories and facts about Alcide “Yellow“ Nuñez, a founding member of the Original Dixieland Jazz Band with Canarian roots, have never ceased to amaze me. Dixieland Jazz makes you happy and is a part of Tenerife”, says Marie Theres Kroetz Relin, adding that “Tenerife-based artists and talents need more support”.

Die Alabama Dixieland Jazz Band nimmt zur Zeit ihre erste CD auf. „Ich bin weder Historikerin, noch Jazzexpertin und schon gar nicht „canario“, aber die Persönlichkeit des Alcide „Yellow“ Nuñez, dem Gründungsmitglied der Original Dixieland Jazz Band der seine Wurzeln auf den kanarischen Inseln hat, zu entdecken und zu beschreiben, war und ist eine spannende Arbeit. Dixieland Jazz löst Glückgefühle aus und hat seinen Platz auf Teneriffa.“ versichert Marie Theres Kroetz Relin und unterstreicht, dass „die großen Künstler und Talente Teneriffas mehr gewürdigt und geschätzt werden sollten.“ Derzeit arbeitet sie an dem Skript zur Revue der Dixiemania „und ich glaube, dass diese Show sehr interessant sein kann, um auch Talente wie zum Beispiel des Musikers „Juan Carlos León „Mosco“ hervorzuheben; er hat wunderschöne Arrangements kanarischer Volkslieder gemacht und diese als Dixieland Jazz adaptiert.
